By accessing or using CitedAnswers ("Service"), operated by Utupoto Technology Pty Ltd ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

CitedAnswers lets you ask questions about legislation and regulations, and receive AI-generated answers with citations back to the official source documents. Paid accounts can also use My Documents to upload their own files — or import them from Google Drive or Dropbox — and ask questions answered only from those documents. Anonymous visitors may ask a limited number of questions for free; registered accounts get a monthly question allowance based on their plan.

Answers provided by CitedAnswers are general information only and do not constitute legal advice. The underlying source documents may be incomplete, outdated, or amended after they were indexed. Always verify anything important against the original official source and consult a qualified legal professional before acting on any answer.

The legislation, regulations, and other documents referenced by CitedAnswers are sourced from official government publishing websites of the relevant jurisdiction (e.g. legislation.gov.au, legislation.nsw.gov.au, and equivalent state, territory, and national government sites). CitedAnswers is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any government body. We do not author, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of this source material — we index publicly available government publications and generate answers with citations back to the original source. The version reproduced or referenced may not be the current, authorised, or legally binding version; always confirm against the official government source before relying on it for any legal, compliance, or official purpose.

Some features require a free account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and notify us of any unauthorised use of your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

You agree not to: (a) use automated means to scrape or bulk-download answers; (b) attempt to circumvent question limits, rate limits, or security measures; (c) use the Service to generate content for an unlawful purpose; (d) resell or redistribute CitedAnswers' answers as your own product without our permission; or (e) upload documents to My Documents that you do not have the legal right to upload or share.

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe, depending on which billing cycle you choose. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel or change your plan at any time from your account's billing portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

The CitedAnswers software, branding, and underlying technology are owned by Utupoto Technology Pty Ltd. Source documents referenced in answers remain the property of their original publishers (e.g. government bodies for legislation).

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Utupoto Technology Pty Ltd is not liable for any decision made or action taken in reliance on an answer provided by the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service or cancel your account at any time.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
