Refund Policy

Last updated: 2 August 2026

1. Subscription Fees

CitedAnswers plans are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe, depending on which billing cycle you choose. Except as described below, fees already paid are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods, unused questions, or if you stop using the Service before the end of a billing period.

2. Cancelling Your Plan

You can cancel or downgrade your plan at any time from your account's billing portal. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current period — you'll keep access at your current plan level until the end of the billing period you've already paid for.

3. Billing Errors and Duplicate Charges

If you were charged in error — for example a duplicate charge, a charge after you'd already cancelled, or an incorrect amount — contact us and we'll investigate and refund the incorrect portion.

4. Free Trial and Free Plan

New subscriptions include a 7-day free trial, starting from the day you add your card and select a plan. You won't be charged anything during the trial. If you cancel from your account's billing portal before the trial ends, you won't be charged at all. If you don't cancel, your card will be automatically charged for your selected plan when the trial ends, and your subscription will continue on that plan's normal billing cycle. Anonymous questions asked before creating an account, and any legacy free registered accounts still on our free plan, remain provided at no cost — no payment is made on those, so no refund applies.

5. Your Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer protection law that cannot be excluded, including rights relating to services not provided with due care and skill.

6. How to Request a Refund

Email support@citedanswers.com with your account email and the reason for your request. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
